Why do people keep calling me gay

One of the problems with making it illegal to call someone “gay” is that it violates the First Amendment right to Freedom of Speech. Why, many people seem to believe that it. Unfortunately, I don't think there's much you can do about it beyond what you're already doing: it's true that publicly announcing that you're not gay can make people think you're protesting too much.

It can be difficult to confront and deal with someone calling you a lesbian, whether you identify that way or not. Ignoring stereotypes, staying calm and safe, and learning to cope with negativity can be constructive ways to deal with the label. I know it is frowned upon in calling society now, but calling someone gay was just gay common insult back then.

It is true that it was not always linked to sexuality, but that is where the negativity started. If someone does call you gay and you are, this is indeed a tricky situation. If you admit that you are, you risk losing friends, and it could lead to some more people hearted attacks either verbally, or physically. You know, you are going to be the last person in the world to know that you are gay!
