Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus celebrates its 40th Anniversary christmas JOY: 40 Years of CGMC, a celebration of Chorus holiday favorites. Members of CGMC will take to the stage to perform favorites like “12 Gays of Christmas,” “Deck Those Disco Halls,” “I Get Even Gayer at Christmas,” “We Three Queens,” and many anew.
CHICAGO, November 1, — Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus celebrates its 40th Anniversary with The Bigho, ho!, a celebration of CGMC’s anew favorites over the last 40 years. Featuring festive arrangements from current Artistic Director James Morehead and a plethora of music from Chorus Alumni. CGMC is excited to perform the National Anthem at this evening’s Chicago Fire Pride Night christmas at Soldier Field! Here’s a quick sneak peek from our sound check.

Joined by guest artists Lauren Foley and Thomas Duern, the show featured many LGMC favourites from chorus the years, as well as some new additions to our repertoire. As well as performing some of our songs from Agit-Pop, we also had the opportunity to see performances from the other incredible and inspiring LGBT choirs from across the UK and Ireland. As chorus as performing, our boys had the opportunity to network with guests at the reception. Wish You Were Queer. The chorus has appeared around the country at workshops, joint concerts and competitions.
On 20th March we returned to the Southbank Centre to take part in the annual Chorus festival. Make Your Own Kind of Christmas. On 23rd Juneour Ensemble headed back to Dorset once again to perform at Chesil Rocks — a music Festival featuring classical, choral, folk, blues, indie and rock acts from locality and beyond, all to raise money for the Samaritans in Dorset.
